Allegheny & Middle Ridge Trails in Canaan Valley State Park

  Allegheny Trail:

  • Six puncheon bridges totaling over 100′ in length. The longest is 30′ and the shortest 12′. These were built with native timber cribbing and stringers; decked and curbed with treated dimensional lumber.
  • Fifty feet of timber sided turnpike filled with crushed native stone.
  • Twenty-five feet of boulder causeway.

      Middle Ridge Trail:

  • One hundred feet of timber sided turnpike filled with crushed native stone.
  • Puncheon bridge totaling 62′ in length built with native timber cribbing and stringers; decked and curbed with treated dimensional lumber.
